Building Project
Members of the congregation are in the process of constructing a new worship and education center at our property on Highway 212. Plans have been drawn up and approved by the congregation and Newton County officials. This page is intended to chronicle the construction process in narrative and pictorial form. December 2009
Finalization of the architect's drawings to meet Newton County requirements is completed. Permitting by the county is expected any time. Once all the permits are obtained, the bulldozers will arrive to start the site preparation. As this is happening, plans with the Builders for Christ (BfC) are also being finalized. BfC will be working with the general contractor to do as much work as possible during the construction process as "donated labor" which will help keep the overall costs as low as possible.
February 2010
Construction has finally begun now that we finally have the first of the permits that we will need. Work is progressing as rapidly as possible.
