Our Mission
We are a family united by the abiding grace of Jesus and our purpose, as Abiding Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, is to:

Our Objectives
Worship
To give honor and glory to God through excellence in worship by praising
God’s name and proclaiming His Word so that the faith of believers is fed and
the seed of faith is planted in those who do not know Him.
Education
To help all members grow
in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Outreach
To seek out the lost in our community and to share with them the Gospel of Jesus
Christ.
Inreach
To care for the members of our church family by counseling them with the Word of
God.
Stewardship
To encourage and equip all members of our congregation for lives of faith and
service.
Fellowship
To enjoy the friendship of our fellow members and to foster close ties in our
church family.
Property
To further the congregation’s ministry by planning and constructing a new church
building and by providing ongoing maintenance for all the congregation’s
properties.
Our Vision
It is our prayer that the True Vine sends His Holy Spirit to build among us a congregation that remains in Him, standing solely on the truth of His Word, that we might bear much fruit. We also pray that God would give to our congregation:
- A continued commitment to stand solely on His Word.
- The zeal to grow in faith through Word and Sacrament.
- The ability to encourage and equip its members.
- An active educational ministry

- A Church Building in Newton County with:
- A sanctuary that gives glory to God and encourages meaningful worship
- A large narthex for pre- and post-worship fellowship
- Plenty of classrooms for teaching and meeting
- At least 10 acres of land
- A key, prominent sign to give witness to our presence
- A secretary to do filing, answer the phone, and assist pastor as needed
- A completed, detailed plan for starting a school
